DGB Refrigeration Ltd is a privately owned company based in Nottingham, specialising in the repair, refurbishment, manufacturing of units and services to the vending industry.
DGB Refrigeration Ltd was established in 1994 when the current Director took the opportunity of a management buy out. Prior to this, Managing Director Doug Barlow has headed this section of the business since he joined Blackburn Starling in 1979 to encourage and develop this specialised area of operations.
In 1999 the company relocated to its new larger premises in order to support and accommodate the rapid rate of growth and allow expansion into other areas.
Vending is a growth industry; the demand for high quality refreshment is constantly increasing, as the public needs change with today's fast moving lifestyles. This is coupled with a demand for a wider range of more exciting products to be available from vending machines and DGB has a key part to play in this.
Our role is to repair, refurbish and manufacture a range of refrigeration units, chillers, carbonators and boilers to a high standard ensuring the smooth running of the vending industry.
The close association with many customers has led the company to be at the forefront of vending refrigeration technology. In particular DGB has pioneered the use of Ozone friendly refrigerant R49 as an environmentally sound replacement for R12, meaning that as the vending industry grows still further the environment does not suffer as a result. This is something DGB is justifiably proud of.
The expansion into larger premises has allowed the company to commence the repair and refurbishment of snack and vending machines, as well as their associated refrigeration systems. This means that a complete overhaul of a vending system can be carried out under one roof, reducing costs to the customer and turn around times.
Currently this is carried out for a handful of customers, but it is hoped that this service will appeal to many of DGB's customers in the near future.
